Wilmoth & Associates was formed in 1998 and has grown from a single office space to an experienced team of Jacksonville certified Public Accountants who occupy the entire top floor of the Lakeshore Executive Center Building in Jacksonville, Florida. The Jacksonville Certified Public Accountants at Wilmoth & Associates provide a full suite of business tax services, personal tax services and businesses accounting services. In addition to traditional CPA services, our Jacksonville certified public accountants also specialize in multi-state sales and use tax services, including complete sales tax outsourcing. Our goal is to provide all the services needed to be a part of your company’s success!

Kim Wilmoth, CPA | Owner and Leader

Kim Wilmoth, the founder of Wilmoth & Associates, P.A., began her public accounting career with a local firm. Her accounting experience spans over 40 years in both public accounting and private industry.

Kim provides guidance and works with her team in a wide variety of accounting, consulting, planning, and compliance services for corporate, individual, and tax exempt clients, including federal and multi-state income and sales tax returns. Her experience includes multi-state sales tax research, tax planning and compliance for small business and their owners, IRS problem resolution, start-ups and acquisitions, and business planning and forecasting.

Kim’s passion and enthusiasm for “Doing the Right Thing” led to the opportunity to start her own firm.

Kim earned her B.A. and Masters of Accountancy degrees from the University of North Florida. She is a member of the AICPA, FICPA, and Institute of Professionals in Taxation.

Karen Lafleur, MAcc | Accountant

Karen Lafleur has been with Wilmoth & Associates since 2004, having virtually been raised in the accounting and tax profession. Karen was the firm’s dedicated sales and use tax manager for five years and continues to be actively involved in the area. She has audit experience in many states and has successfully negotiated reduced or eliminated audit assessments. She is versed in multiple areas of taxation including payroll, income and sales/use taxes. She is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.

Karen is a customer service advocate who is solution oriented. She continually improves and increases system checks and balances and works closely with our clients and staff to provide timely and useful accounting and data-management reports. She excels at research requests, particularly in the multi-jurisdictional environment.

Karen earned her B.A. in Accounting from the University of North Florida and Master of Accountancy from Stetson University.

Sherri Hardacre | Accountant

Sherri Hardacre joined our team in 2007, accruing years of knowledge and experience in every department of accounting at Wilmoth & Associates. With a focus on business accounting, she manages multiple clients’ needs on a day-to-day basis with accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation. Sherri’s fun-loving personality and detailed multi-tasking aided by her years of accounting experience make her a vital asset to our firm. She is always one of the first people to offer help, answer questions, or provide guidance to team members in need. We are excited to announce Sherri is currently studying to become an Enrolled Agent.

In her personal time, Sherri likes to spend time with her family and enjoys time at home on her farm caring for her animals.

Sandra A. Hardison, EA | Tax Manager

Sandra Hardison is a returning associate who left in 2014 to help with family matters, and recently returned bringing experience from a tax law firm. She has extensive experience with business and personal taxes as well as nonprofits, trusts and other returns. She loves tax work and enjoys working with her fellow tax preparers to achieve the best possible solutions for our clients.

Sandra earned her BA in accountancy from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington and has successfully completed requirements for the IRS’ Enrolled Agent certification. She is a member of the NCACPA and is a licensed Notary Public in the state of NC.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends (including her furry four-legged friends) and working on various crafts and traveling as often as time will allow.

Robert Blazer, MAcc | Accountant

Robert joined Wilmoth & Associates in 2021 as a Tax Preparer and has become an important member of our tax preparation team. He works on various types of tax returns including, but not limited to personal, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Trusts, & Exempt Organizations. He also works in other areas within the firm including payroll, sales tax, and bookkeeping. Robert earned both his B.A. in Accountancy and his Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from the University of North Florida. He is eligible to sit and is currently studying to take the CPA exam.

In his personal time, Robert enjoys reading, camping, and exploring all the state parks Northeast Florida has to offer. Robert makes it a point to attend a few Jaguars games a year since he moved to Jacksonville several years ago.

Robert’s easy-going personality, quick wit, and expertise in the field are a valued and welcomed addition to the Wilmoth & Associates team.

Kimberly Bernich | Accountant

Kimberly is one of our newest accountants to join Wilmoth & Associates and brings with her significant accounting experience to complement our firm. Kimberly has 30 years of experience in accounting including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, as well as preparing business and individual federal tax returns. Kimberly obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2001 from the University of North Florida.

Kimberly is an active and dedicated member of her church and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Lonnie Wilmoth | Sales Tax Compliance Analyst

Lonnie Wilmoth has been with the Wilmoth & Associates Sales and Use Tax Outsourcing Department since 2007 and is a vital part of the sales and use tax team, who collectively process client data to create and file over 5,400 sales tax returns annually for various broad scale, national companies. Lonnie’s sales tax experience consists of sales and use tax return preparation, sales tax registrations, secretary of state registrations, invoice system reporting and database implementation, annual reports, sales and use tax refund requests, exemption certificate management, notice handling with penalty and interest abatement, voluntary disclosures, technical assistance advisements, as well as nexus evaluations and multistate sales tax research. He also assists the general accounting and tax department with bookkeeping and income tax return preparation.

Lonnie earned his BA from the University of North Florida is 2004. In his spare time, Lonnie enjoys spending time and sharing new experiences with his family, fishing, and being outdoors.

Amanda Henry | Sales Tax Compliance Analyst

Amanda joined Wilmoth & Associates in 2018 as a Sales Tax Compliance Analyst and has become an integral part of our Sales and Use Tax Department. She works with a team that efficiently processes client data to create over 5,400 sales tax returns annually for numerous multi-state based corporate clients. Amanda is experienced in multi-jurisdictional sales tax returns, registrations, sales and use tax refund requests, voluntary disclosures of sales and use tax liability, exemption certificate management, nexus evaluation, managing audits, and audit disputes. She is passionate about helping businesses of all sizes mitigate risk, increase efficiencies, and stay compliant with their sales and use tax obligations.

Amanda is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). She earned her AA in Business Administration from Florida State College at Jacksonville and successfully completed The Institute for Professionals in Taxation’s Sales Tax School I & II in 2024. In her personal time, Amanda enjoys traveling, gardening, painting, and spending time with her family.
